In the record of Midi Input Messages, we can see that toggle 6 seems to send CNT1 and 2 at the same time... And the light always stays on. Toggle 7 is acting as it should be. Here's a video that shows it.

The instructions I gave are from the FCB1010 Manual, page 10 section 2.5.

It's been a LONG time since I had the stock chip in my FCB, so I can't test it for you, but it SHOULD alternate.

This sort of weirdness is why I ordered the UNO chip 1 hour after I got my FCB! ;-)
