Re: UNO2 ControlCenter will not download
ossandust
I can confirm that there must have been a temporary server connection issue about 8 to 9 hours ago, causing the license database to be inaccessible. Things are working correctly again, new code has been emailed. Sorry for the inconvenience...

There seems to have been a server connection issue - will need to look into it after working hours.
In the mean time I have blocked your license code for obvious reasons - I will send you a new code tonight. It is not a good idea to publish your license data on the internet, better send me an email when such an issue occurs.

Re: yamaha Tyros 5 with FCB1010
Hi again
Since William awaked my curiosity, I just setup the 10 switches of my FCB1010 to match a Tyros function. So, here is how it is done. First set the FCB1010 MIDI channel to whatever you want:
After this, go to your Tyros and do the following:
Finally, setup the FCB1010 to send the notes as required:
Please note that you can set upto 29 notes: from C#-1 (Note 0) until F#1 (Note42). So, you may use upto three banks on your FCB1010 to acomplish this. However, I doubt you need that much. Best regards Josef

Re: yamaha Tyros 5 with FCB1010
Hi again
Here I want to share some things that I forwarded to William. In case that somebody else has a Tyros and wants to try it. On the YouTube video, not all note numbers will be shown. This means that you have to count theme by yourself. After E-1, the next note would be F-1. Since E-1 is 16, then F-1 must be 17. Anyway, I guess the table of the FCB1010 manual will help you more with that counting (page 10) So, for knowing the value of, let's say G0, locate C0 on that table, which has the note number: 24. Now count notes until G0: C0 = 24, C#0 (or Db0) = 25, D0 = 26, D#0 (or Eb0) = 27, E0 = 28, F0 = 29, F#0 (or Gb0) = 30, and G0 = 31. So, there you go, you have that G0 = 31. Anyway, you can also get this table where everything is already simplified: https://djip.co/wp-content/uploads/drupal/blog/logic-midi-note-numbers.png Best regards Josef

Re: yamaha Tyros 5 with FCB1010
By the way, the YouTuber also mentioned that the table can be found on page 10 of the FCB1010 manual. You can get a copy from here:

Dear William
So, in the time mark 7:05, you will see that the person of the video put a table, see: C#-1 = 13

Re: yamaha Tyros 5 with FCB1010
Hi Josef
Now home and red throgh your message angain carefully. Few questions thoug. - In Tyron mfc10 template you can .... send the seleced functions of all 10 buttons via midi a or b and channal via midi out port with just one send command to ... fcb1010 midi in port when it it is at the same cannel If fcb does not work the same way like mfc10 ( Should work because it sends only midi note values) then i sould program each note value for each celected function to each bank , but from where i can find the note values to manually put in fcb. The mcf10 template does not show midi value just note name C# ... and function. Im a bit uncertain. What Im missing ? Cheers William Viljo Pure Nature Flyers PNF +358-400-299808 Lähetetty iPadista

Re: yamaha Tyros 5 with FCB1010
Hi William
I'm also looking fordward for doing the same, but I haven't had the time yet. Anyway, I found this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqt-fk5ZyWk It is unfortunatelly in german, but I think you may understand what he is doing. Anyway, I saw it and basically you do it the same way as with the Yamaha MFC 10:

Never used Guitar Rig outside of my DAW (and don't use it much, really), so I didn't know about NI's ASIO driver. Thanks EJ.

I've been using my FCB with Guitar Rig since GR2, so I do know of what I speak. I have NOT upgraded to GR6 from GR5, but they didn't change anything significant, just added a couple of new amps shot with newer modeling methods.
The problem chrisw_63 referred to only occurs when using an underpowered, un-optimized computer with too low a sample rate. What are the specs on your computer? It does NOT sound like the problem you are describing, but without a sound sample it's impossible to be sure. I strongly advise against using ASIO4ALL, the stock ASIO driver provided by NI works fine. Record a sample of the noise and attach it, along with a description of the effects in use in the preset. I'll try to duplicate it and look for the problem.

Re: Prgrm pedal to act as pedalboard w/TH-U
EJ SHELDON
You want the UNO Chip. Whether you want the Original UNO or UNO2 depends on your needs and your programming skills.
With the stock chip you can program the switches to Toggle, but the LEDs WILL NOT reflect that, and you can't set up FAUX TWO-WAY COMMUNICATION as you can with UNO.(SEE BELOW). You can program all 10 switches to toggle, meaning that you can control 10 categories of effects in THU (unless you're planning on setting all FX bypass functions per preset). You said you don't need the BANKS function, so I assume that you realize you won't be using the FCB to change PRESETS in THU. With either chip. the BANK switches ONLY do BANKS. They change the BANK in the FCB, NOT in THU. You could have different BANKs sending different combinations of different CC and PC messages, allowing you to change PRESETS in THU.. With original UNO You can have top or bottom row set to Toggle, but you'll have the same 5 messages sent in every Bank, which means you'll only be able to control 5 categories of effects in THU (again, unless you're planning on setting all FX bypass functions per preset). You can also program it so that the LEDs reflect the actual status of the THU effects (FAUX TWO-WAY COMMUNICATION), even though the communication is one-way only. You WILL be able to change Presets in THU, as the other 5 switches in each FCB BANK can send PC numbers. Those switches can also send TOGGLING CCs, which could allow you a "Wild Card" Effects control in each Preset. OR - you could get the UNO2 chip and program every button (except BANKS) to do whatever you want it to, but that requires actual programming with code, not a fully GUI editor like MTN or UNO_ControlCenter. It sounds to me like you need to learn a bit more about how THU works, and give some more thought to how you'll be using THU ITRW.

Re: Cracking/Popping

Hi Geoff,
Following the messages here for quite a while, never heard anyone combining Guitar Rig 6 and FCB 1010. I have no answer to your problem but if I may, can I ask you this: Were you used to the FCB with earlier Guitar Rig versions? Do you have the UNO firmware installed? Did you start programming the FCB from scratch, or is there a dump to the FCB possible, to get most functions responding and do some further tweaking? I have the FCB1010 with firmware 25, and Guitar Rig 6. Just missing some simpel functions on a pedal. Thanks for your time! Goodluck with the cracking. Regards, Jeroen

Re: Cracking/Popping
chrisw_63
This is most likely a problem with too much running on the computer/ipad. If you have a lot of effects running at the same time, or too many background processes, the audio system can bog down and 'skip'. If you have a slower computer, and can't find anything taking up a lot of time, you may want to consider upgrading.
If you're running on Windows and don't have an ASIO driver, that is most likely the issue. Download ASIO4ALL and set it as the sound driver for your DAW, or whatever you're using.

Cracking/Popping
Geoff Brown
Hi all,
I’m getting a cracking/popping noise when I turn an effect on/off in Guitar Rig 6 while using the FCB1010 midi controller. Any ideas what could be causing this & how to to possibly fix it? TIA Geoff -- Regards,

Your first 3 presets are sending the OFF message on Preset Load. 4 and 5 are sending NO CHANGE. If it's OFF it'll stay OFF and vice versa.
