I would like to be able to do this :

 
VAR $ham = "Hammond"
VAR $nord = "Nord"
 
CHANNEL $nord = 12 // would like $nord to expand to NORD
CHANNEL $ham = 1 // would like $ham to expand to Hammond


or this:

VAR $ham = 1
VAR $nord = 12
 
CHANNEL NORD = $nord
CHANNEL HAMMOND = $ham

It appears that the CHANNEL command has no support for variable names.
