The "Up" button
markemark29
Holding down the "up" button for more than 2 seconds would change you
over to direct select mode, so then you could use the "up" and "down" buttons to turn switch one and two repectivly on and off, then hold down the "up" button again for >2 seconds and switch back to non direct select mode. Your global setting would only be your starting point. Just a thought... Mark |

Nice feature I wasn't really aware of... Some of us can't use it though, since direct selet isn't compatible with stompbox mode. Regards Zsazsi -----Original Message----- |

I think mark was suggesting a new feature...

That's funny - sorry for that confusion - I've totally misunderstood. Please bear in mind that englsh is not my native language. Yep, it would be a nice NEW feature. Zsazsi -----Original Message----- |

Yes if this feature where available you could simply switch between
direct select and non direct select(stompbox mode) by holding down the up button for more than 2 seconds, avoiding going into globle setup. sorry that I didn't specify this was a feature request. I know O's thinking 'bout adding a expansion board so come on people, your idea's?? --- In fcb1010_uno@..., "Zsazsi" <m-zsolt@...> wrote: compatible with stompbox mode.[mailto:fcb1010_uno@...] On change youBehalf Of markemark29 and "down"over to direct select mode, so then you could use the "up" holdbuttons to turn switch one and two repectivly on and off, then startingdown the "up" button again for >2 seconds and switch back to non point. |

actually, I don't like the "direct select" mode of the FCB very much, I wonder if many people actually use it? If I would design a footcontroller ;-) , it would have a set of 4 buttons for bank control : up / down / Direct1 / Direct2 With up/down you scroll through a user defineable number of banks - with Direct1 / Direct2 you have direct access to 2 additional banks. The Direct1/2 buttons are "mutually exclusive toggle buttons" : they have a LED showing if they are selected - clicking them a second time deselects the "direct" bank and brings you back to the latest "regular" bank. Do you think this behaviour would be usefull ? --- In fcb1010_uno@..., "markemark29" <markemark29@...> wrote:

If I can get a bit in on this topic:

I like the idea of being able to go to the direct mode, too. I think that for users who have a main piece of gear that they use, it would allow sort of a hyper jump between FCB presets, and direct control the switches. Sounds ok to me. Feature suggestion - "Note Mode" And if I could suggest another new "feature", this could maybe free up some memory for other things too. I would like to see a preset dedicated to pedalboard note drivers exclusively. I set up a bank on my FCB to drive my EMU Proteus as a bass-pedalboard. But it seems a shame that the other unused memory (PC, CC, etc) on these presets goes to waste. And on the 19+5 Stompbox config, I haven't thought this entirely through, but it seems that the stompers are not available for notes because they are now globally stompers. This is the main reason for me that I am leaning toward going back to standard 10x10 mode. But that costs me a whole bank per "note set" pedalboard. It seems like there would be a more memory efficient way of doing this. Maybe adding another entirely differnt mode, say something like hold up and down both for 2 seconds, then the unit goes into a notes only "scale" mode, where the scale is fixed, but you can use the B exp to transpose (shift keys) and the A exp as volume/wah/modulation/CF/whatever for the target device. As long as I'm dreaming, if you could tap the up or down button, then enter a patch number for the target "note" device, that would be the icing on the cake, the stink in the beer cheese, (insert beer drool here) etc, etc. tekrytor --- In fcb1010_uno@..., "ossandust" <ossan.dust@...> wrote:
