Have you watched these demos at the link? https://www.fcb1010.eu/uno2_demo.html there are 5 or 6 examples that go thru making a full setup with the links for the rest at the bottom of the page There is no audio but it is presented as if your watching it being done in real time. I am surprised you have not gotten a response on your question. What I do is save my setups by cut and pasting it into Notepad so if you can give me an idea of what your trying to do to get you started I have made a setup for people based on what they are trying to do to help them get going but once you get used to it its not to bad. One thing I discovered is if you have an error you must fix the error before moving onto the next line. To paste something into the editor from a Notepad doc you press Control v and it will paste it, I'm not sure if there is an updated editor as mine is from early on I think my chip is #12 but my editor does not cut and paste using the mouse. To make a copy of your setup press Control a which highlights the whole thing and then Control c which copies it. I attached a Notepad file that you can cut and paste into your editor and it might help you to get started but its fairly easy once you get the hang of it. There is alot I don't know how to do but let me know what your trying to do and I can give it a shot and do a setup to get you going. The jpg is a screen shot of one preset I did of controlling my big rack as a test which it did very well and quite impressive. Again the below link will take you to the only tutorial info I know of so check that out and read the manual and just takes a little patience then it will click how to do it Dave |

Dave,
Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it. I still have not installed the chip yet. Is it really worth it? Augie |

Augie To me having stock chip then UnO chip and then the UnO2 I would say yes it is worth it. Why? Well among lots of things simply having virtual heel and toe switches alone makes it worth the price and being able to select an audio type taper along with a linear taper on how sweep reacts. If thats not enough it turns the FCB1010 into a very powerful midi controller which can send out multiple commands on multiple midi channels with one button press. I use the FCB with the UnO2 chip for switching a guitar rack primarily an Axe Fx and the enclosed pic is what happens when that preset is pressed, changing multiple PC and CC messages across multiple midi channels and though currently mainly use the Axe Fx on its own I don't know of any midi controller under 1800.00 that can do it. I like the format of the FCB1010 having 10 switches and 2 expression pedals in a great size and self contained. Ossan Dust helped me with how to select any of the 768 available presets of the Axe Fx which is something not possible on other midi controllers including the MFC-101 which is the Fractal controller made to go with the Axe Fx. The only downfall is the lack of a display other than what the bank and preset is that your on or if in stomp mode if effect is on or off. If I had it to do over again I would consider the TinyBox because of all the above reasons and it adds bluetooth and the ability to monitor whats happening and displaying on a tablet. I highly recommend using the UnO2 chip

Dave,
Again ur awesome to take the time for me. So I guess since I still have the stock chip in the board, then it's a no brainer to put the uno2 chip in. I will only be using it to control my DAW and whatever vsti's that I use. |
