Thanks Chrisw_63 for your kind words.  I can return to Amazon without issue, but I think having the 2 midi interfaces will have a purpose, given that I have a complex keyboard rig and foresee interesting debugging  scenarios.

It's a bummer you spent money before finding the problem.  But if you can't return the UM-ONE, I'm betting you could easily sell it and get most of your money back.  Just remember to figure shipping costs - crossing an ocean might cost more than the Roland did.

It turns out the Roland UM-ONE-MK2 didn't solve the SysEx test problem. What the problem was is that the FCB1010 midi merge was not enabled when I thought it was.  Setting the midi merge check box in the FCB1010 data editor wasn't changing the setting in the pedal Global settings.  I actually had to do that setting manually using the pedal switches.  Then the test passed on the Roland UM-ONE-MK2 and with my Motu micro lite midi interfaces.

Thank you,  Yeah I did finally realize that and that I discovered my Motu  micro lite was not responding to the SysEx test.  I just purchased the Roland UM-ONE-MK2, which I saw mentioned on this forum to be able to handle long SysEx messages.  If it works I buy the UnO2

The intent is that you should first TEST your MIDI Interface and FCB to make sure that they'll work with UNO2, at which point you'll be able to purchase it.

Hi,
I am trying to purchase the UNO2, but the website purchase button gets me to a page with the "Continue" button disabled. Would you happen have a purchase link that works?
thanks,
Chris

I just wanted to share that I am very happy to have received my UNO2 chip in Vancouver Canada not even two weeks after ordering. I was a bit concerned about supply chain/chip shortage concerns, definitely didn't expect a shipment from Belgium in less than two weeks, but here we are. Love this community!
