What exactly are you having trouble with?
Are you using the UNO_ControlCenter Editor? |

Something wonky here...I got your reply re THU and ControlCenter, but your post isn't here.
Anyhow, attached is a demo sysex showing how to call all 200 Mobius presets. IIRC Mobius uses MIDI Channel 1 by default. That or OMNI. There's only one bank, 00. Pedal 6 calls Mobius preset 000 (01A). Pedal 7 calls Mobius 127. Pedal 8 calls Mobius 128 and Pedal 9 calls Mobius 199. You can figure out the Mobius Bank #s yourself. Refer back to the Mobius manual to decide what specific functions you want to control with the Stomps. Stomp 5 is currently assigned to BYPASS - I assume that bypasses the entire unit? Exp Pedal A is assigned to EXPRESSION Pedal (duh!). |

I could've been a bit clearer about what's happening in the sysex.
As far as MIDI is concerned, there's 2 banks in Mobius. The first 128 presets are in Bank 0 and the additional 72 are in Bank 1. You call a Bank with CC#0 and the Bank Value - in this case 0 or 1 - and the Preset # you want in that Bank. In the FCB, PC1-PC4 execute before the preset CCs. PC5 executes AFTER the CCs. In the attached sysex, when you call an FCB preset, first it sends the CC# which tells the Mobius what Bank you want, then it sends PC5 which specifies the preset in that Bank. Since you only have 95 presets in the FCB/UNO, you might only ever need to use one of the Mobius Banks, in which case you don't need to use the Bank/CC function. When you send just a PC#, most multi-bank devices will either use the last called Bank or default to the lowest # bank. In case it's the former, you'd just need to set the bank manually on Mobius and never mess with it again. I didn't read the entire Mobius manual, just the MIDI section, so I'm not sure on that. Hope that's clear and helps you to understand whats going on. BTW - you can do the same in THU, which can have, like, a million Banks. |

Hi
I'm using it without troubles with TH-U (the only stuff I can make work). With MOBIUS I just don't know where to start. I have UNO_ControlCenter Editor. I read the MOBIUS User Guide but no help with it. |

Thank you very much for your help, It's a little clearer. As you say I don't need Bank/CC function. I just need to understand why when I try to assign a midi function with the "Learn" mode no midi messages from the FCB. I just want to assign 4 Tracks at pedal 1/2/3/4, rec/overdub/stop to pedal 5 and other controls for the upper switches. Now we're getting somewhere.
I still have no idea what you are trying to do. I do not own a Mobius. I'm not even sure we're talking about the same device, or even if we ARE talking about a DEVICE. I've been talking about the Strymon Mobius, a hardware Modulation MultiFX. What are YOU talking about? As there is no mention in the manual of the word "track" as a noun, and that's what you're wanting to assign, I'm confused. |

AHA! You're talking about the Mobius Looping SW!
This is ancient SW. They haven't listed a compatible Windows OS since XP. If there's a manual, I can't find it. Are you using XP era HW? If not, you can get a FREE copy of Ableton LITE v11. The best looping SW made. Modern. It even has a MANUAL! Runs on my ancient 8gb i5 laptop. The only limitations on the LITE version relative to looping is the number of tracks (8). If, for some reason, you MUST use Mobius, if you can find a manual and get it into pdf or Word I'll try to help you, but.... |
