Yo people just a few questions
soam_k <soam_k@...>
Hey yall,
I have been following the developement of this beast in the FCB regular group. This morning i read a post over ther that says the uno can sent more than 2 CC's.. my question is..... Is there an overview of all the things this uno will do? I am very curious. I looked in the files and did not see what i wanted. Maybe i overe looked something. But man if i could know how many pcs and ccs this thing sends hmmmmmm.... I use a Bass vamp pro in the effects loop of my Vamp pro, I control the bass vamp pro looping with my FCB, However i use both CC's for the looping process, so i am stuck without foot control on the vamp pro. I do have two of the FCB's buthaving two on the floor at a gig is a pain in the ***. If the Uno chip will send more CC's then this is what i need!!! If more CC's are available the PRAISE OSSANDUST!!!! Ryan |

Here are the basics of how CCs and other parameters are handled by the
FCB: In non-stomp box mode, a preset can have two CC values and up to five Program Change (PC) value sets. When you select a preset it sends each of the PC commands (that are enabled) in 1-5 order. It sends the associated CC value between PC4 and PC5, which allows for band switching on MIDI devices like keyboards before the final PC5 is sent. So a single preset can send up to five PC commands, two CC commands, and settings for expression pedals, switches and notes. In stomp box mode, a preset can have two CC commands four PC commands, five stomp box controls and settings expression pedals, switches and notes. Each of the five stomp box controls can have separate CC (up to 2) commands, and five PC commands. PC4 is not available in stomp box mode (at the preset level) as that memory area is used to store which of the five stomp boxes are enabled for the preset. When a preset is selected in stomp box mode, it first sends the PC and CC commands from the preset as above. PC1-PC3 first, then CC1/CC2, then PC5. Then each of the enabled stomp box control values are sent starting with SB1 and ending with SB5. Each of these sends the associated CC and PC commands. So a stomp box preset can send up to 12 CC commands (two for the preset and two for each of the 5 enabled stomp box controls) and many PC commands. Other options can change the above somewhat (things like CC toggling, and momentary options), but these are the basics to start with. Hey Ed,
thanks for the clarifying explanation of how things work. In order not to let this message get lost in the dark message history, I copied it to the files section - together with the explanation you have written about expression pedals and stomp boxes. You proved that all this is not well enough explained in the UserGuide, any additional info or other way of explaining things can just help new UnO users to quickly get a grip on all this. Thanks, Xavier --- In fcb1010_uno@..., "edwardtdixon" <eddixon@...> wrote: the FCB:five Program Change (PC) value sets. We have a web section for the other Yahoo FCB area that includes lots
of permanent additional info. I suggest we add the reference to that area in the summary into at the top of this home page (like it is done there) and then include new pages for UnO summary and details. Sliding_Billy,
We had once discussed expanding the Description section at the top of the home page. Do you want to handle this? Do you want somebody (e.g., Ed) to craft some words? mike --- In fcb1010_uno@..., "edwardtdixon" <eddixon@...> wrote: lots of permanent additional info.
